Celovest is a real estate and investment network that connects property opportunities, development potential, businesses, and investors. In this policy, “Celovest”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator of this website and its related services.

For the purposes of applicable data protection law, including the Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022 of Sri Lanka, Celovest is the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

We collect only the information needed to provide our services. Depending on how you use Celovest, this may include:

• Contact details: your name, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number, and any details you include in a message.
• Enquiry and registration details: what you submit through the Special Investment Inquiry, investor registration, project interest, property enquiry, and capital request forms, including budgets, preferences, locations, and the nature of your requirement.
• Business and project information: business plans, financial information, funding requirements, ownership details, property documents, images, and other supporting files that you choose to send to us.
• Property owner information: details and documents about properties you ask us to list or assess.
• Communications: messages and files you send us by email or WhatsApp, and records of our replies.
• Technical data: basic information your browser sends automatically, such as IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, and the time of your visit, which is used to run and secure the website.

Please do not send us sensitive personal data (such as health, religious, or political information) unless it is genuinely necessary for your enquiry.

We use personal information to:

• Respond to your enquiries and provide the services you request
• Assess and screen property, business, and investment opportunities
• Match opportunities with suitable investors, buyers, owners, developers, or partners, and make introductions
• Contact you about your enquiry, listings, or opportunities relevant to your stated interests

• Introductions: when we introduce a business owner, property owner, investor, or other party, we share only the information relevant to that introduction and, where appropriate, on a confidential basis. We will not introduce you to another party without your knowledge or agreement.
• Service providers: companies that help us run the website and our services, such as hosting, database, storage, and email or messaging providers, who may process data only on our instructions.
• Professional advisers: lawyers, accountants, valuers, and technical experts engaged in connection with an opportunity, subject to confidentiality.
• Authorities and legal reasons: where required by law, court order, or a lawful request, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
• Business changes: if Celovest is involved in a merger, restructuring, or sale of its business, in which case the recipient must respect this policy.

Information you choose to publish, such as a property listing or project brochure, is visible to anyone who visits the website.

Our website, database, and file storage are provided by third-party cloud services whose servers may be located outside Sri Lanka, including in Singapore and other regions. Where your data is transferred outside Sri Lanka, we take reasonable steps to make sure it is protected to a standard consistent with applicable law.

Celovest uses cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the website to function, such as those that keep authorised administrators signed in securely. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell your information.

We would also like to use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site, for example which properties and pages are viewed most often. We ask first. Analytics cookies are only set if you choose “Accept” on the cookie banner; if you decline, or simply ignore it, nothing is loaded and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the footer, and declining afterwards clears the cookies already placed.

When enabled, Google Analytics collects information such as your approximate location, device and browser type, the pages you visit and how you arrived at the site. We use this only in aggregate to improve the website; we do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not use Google’s advertising features. This information is processed by Google, and its use is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy. Some pages embed content from third parties, such as Google Maps on property pages, and links to WhatsApp and social media platforms. If we add marketing or advertising tools in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to complete your enquiry, maintain business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal requirements. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including access controls, restricted administrator access, and encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please take care with the information you choose to send us, and contact us immediately if you believe your information has been misused.

Celovest is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
